FFL: Miami Takes Out Oakland
Miami beat Oakland to get past the AFC Second Round with a 27-10 upset of Oakland. "Somebody forgot to tell them they were underdogs," quipped Oakland coach Bob after the game. "No question, they were the better team out there today and deserved this win. I thought we came in prepared, but that was just a lot better than we've seen Miami play for some time."
Credit has to be given to Miami coach Bob, who brought his team together after some tough losses earlier and has them playing at their best. "Some of the us really took those losses hard," said star Bowerman. "But coach sat us down and showed us what we were doing wrong and what we needed to do to turn around. That was great to hear, and you saw the results today."
Miami was led by QB Bowerman (331 yards and 3 touchdowns), TB Legorreta (61 yards), WR Hill (136 yards and 2 touchdowns). SF Lemp (4 tackles and 1 fumble) and CB Jiang (5 blocks) led the defense. Oakland was led by QB Wyrostek (178 yards and 1 touchdown), TB Madkins (107 yards), TB Madkins (48 yards). CB Licht (8 tackles; 3 blocks and 2 interceptions) led the defense.
