FFL: Washington On a Roll
Washington beat Miami to take the FFL Championship. They pounded Miami 34-0 and sent even the most loyal Miami fans home early. "If I had wanted to watch this quality of play, I'd have watched my kid's pee-wee game," said one upset fan. "I mean, they were committing mistakes left and right. Maybe they'd have lost anyway, but Washington got this game handed to them on a silver platter. It's been this way ever since Bob took over as head coach of the team; hopefully enough of these losses and we'll be rid of him."
Miami players were quick to defend their embattled coach, though. "It's not him, it's us. He's not the one out there playing the game." Nobody can deny, however, that Bob was the one who prepared the team. Time will tell whether he survives or not.
Washington was led by QB Pyrdom (334 yards and 2 touchdowns), TB Ramirez (99 yards and 2 touchdowns), WR Hellmuth (110 yards and 1 touchdown). ILB McKenzie (7 tackles) and OLB Fulmer (2 blocks and 1 interception) led the defense. Miami was led by QB Bowerman (156 yards), TB Legorreta (50 yards), WR Alvey (49 yards). SF Bishop (8 tackles; 3 blocks) led the defense.
