Request Title: Recruiting 2nd and 3rd Round
Description
Would it be possible to allow recruits to visit more than 5 schools in the last round of recruiting? In the current CCEL recruiting, a few tier 1 and 2 schools invited 40-80 recruits. A lot of those recruits have 2 or 3 of their visits tied up in three schools that will only recruit a few of them at most. That likely leaves those recruits with nowhere to go and tier 2 and 3 schools short of getting a shot at them because they were lower than 5th on the list. There are quite a few recruits with 15 or more invites, some with more than 20 invites. It would be nice for those lower schools to at least have a shot if those recruits do not sign with a bigger school.
If possible to allow recruits to visit 10 or 15 schools in the final round, it could benefit the lower tier schools, which are otherwise at a disadvantage in most other aspects of recruiting.

Category: Enhancement
Status: Completed (last updated Sep 6 17:12:35 2025 )
Priority: Short Term

Admin Notes
In the second and third round of recruiting, lower-tier (and lower-prestige) schools will be able to more effectively attract recruits remaining. At this time, we are not adding schools to recruits' visit lists, in order to keep the recruiting phase as simple as possible.

Pythagoras A (Oct 24 18:33:02 2022 ): Saying 2-3 teams was just an example. Here are five D C players who did not sign anywhere, but obviously could have helped a lot of tier 3 teams. They did not sign anywhere because the teams they did visit didn't really want them, or used their points elsewhere. When tier 3 teams are scrambling to sign F D players, having D C players not sign anywhere does not help. 1200 T.Roberts WR Fr 3 1 2 5 1 2 4 6 7 -- ------ -- D C WR Maryland 15 S Florida 11 S USC 20 Florida St 15 R Arizona St 15 Duke 12 R Navy 11 R Oregon 13 Kansas St 16 New Hampshire 8 R The Citadel 12 Alcorn State 12 Towson 6 R pt+ Princeton 6 R Maine 6 R pt* SE Louisiana 10 Tulsa 6 R Robert Morris 6 R Connecticut 6 R Cent Conn St 7 R Wyoming 10 1681 D.Battle C Fr 0 4 1 1 3 6 1 4 6 -- ------ -- D C OL Maryland 15 S Bowling Green 16 S Florida 11 R S Delaware St 10 R S Montana 12 S Stetson 9 S N Iowa 6 P S pt* USC 20 Wake Forest 17 Kansas St 16 Arizona St 15 Mid Tenn St 6 R P PT+ Norfolk State 6 R P pt* Oregon 13 N Carolina AT 6 R pt* Charlotte 7 R The Citadel 12 R Bethune Ckmn 5 R pt+ Navy 11 Princeton 6 Wyoming 10 1867 B.Richter C Fr 0 4 3 1 3 6 1 1 10 -- ------ -- D C OL Maryland 15 S Montana 12 R S Bowling Green 16 S Florida 11 S Stetson 9 S N Iowa 6 P S USC 20 R Arizona St 15 R P Wake Forest 17 Kansas St 16 LA Monroe 7 R Oregon 13 R The Citadel 12 Wyoming 10 SE Louisiana 10 Navy 11 Princeton 6 2930 S.Moultrie DE Fr 0 4 3 4 4 4 1 2 5 -- ------ -- D C DE Bowling Green 16 S Maryland 15 S Montana 12 S Stetson 9 S Florida 11 S N Iowa 6 P S pt* USC 20 Alcorn State 12 R P Wake Forest 17 Arizona St 15 Wyoming 10 R Oregon 13 The Citadel 12 SE Louisiana 10 R Navy 11 Princeton 6 3304 J.Spears DE Fr 3 6 1 2 5 1 2 0 10 -- ------ -- D C DE Maryland 15 S Oklahoma St 13 P S Navy 11 R S Stetson 9 S Florida 11 S N Iowa 6 S USC 20 Wake Forest 17 R Florida St 15 R Cent Conn St 7 R P pt* New Hampshire 8 R pt+ Towson 6 R pt* Connecticut 6 R pt* Arizona St 15 Maine 6 R pt* Tulsa 6 R Duke 12 R The Citadel 12 Princeton 6 R Wyoming 10 Oregon 13 Robert Morris 6 R pt* SE Louisiana 10
Ron BK (Oct 27 10:35:39 2022 ): I like this, let’s go 10 deep for every round of recruiting
Hubbard Crane II (Nov 17 07:51:14 2022 ): Agree with this. More visits in the 3rd round would be very good for the T3 teams. A well working and realistic 3:d round is crucial for T3 programs.
